About Us

Sharing Faith and Service in Christ

Welcome! We are the Lumamba Family, a Catholic missionary family called to love, serve, and make known the Divine Logos, Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh.

Our family is devoted to serving Jesus and the Church He established, responding to the Great Commission He gave His apostles: to proclaim the Gospel and “make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28: 18- 20). We try our best to bring the Gospel to families, youth, and communities through prayer, service, community life, witness, personal testimony, and genuine dialogue.

We created this website to share our story, our missionary life, and our reflections on faith, family, and discipleship. Here, you’ll find our mission experiences, photos, talks, blogs, and resources meant to help others encounter Christ more deeply.

You can also explore our Catechesis: The Faith Explained section, where we share the teachings of Jesus drawn from Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, other Church documents, and insights from saints and theologians.

Additionally, our Podcasts & Video Talks feature conversations, reflections, and teachings available on YouTube and other platforms, meant to nourish our spiritual life and deepen our love for Jesus, the Divine Logos.

We pray that through every word and image shared here, we may all grow in love for the Divine Logos, who continues to speak, heal, and dwell among us.

“May our lives always proclaim: We love the Divine Logos!”

Author’s Professional Profile

Jonathan Lumamba, M.ACatholic Educator | Catechist | Missionary | Speaker

I am a Catholic educator and missionary who has spent more than twenty years serving the Church through catechesis, evangelization, and youth and family ministry. Together with my wife and children, my life is rooted in a desire to know, love, and make known Jesus Christ, the Divine Logos, the Word made flesh.

I earned a Master of Arts in Catechetics and Evangelization from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, where I was formed in Sacred Scripture, theology, liturgy, and the art of handing on the faith. This formation continues to guide how I teach, serve, and accompany others in the Church.

I have served for eleven years in parish ministry, particularly in youth, young adult, and Confirmation programs, and previously spent ten years in missionary service with Couples for Christ and its Family Ministries, including Youth for Christ, serving in the Philippines, Asia, the United States, and the Caribbean.

Today, together with my wife, I continue this missionary call by serving as Country Coordinator for Couples for Christ and Family Ministries in Jamaica, traveling there two to three times a year for pastoral formation, Christian Life Programs, and retreats.

My wife has been an integral part of this missionary journey. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Riverside, she served as a missionary in the Caribbean, where we first met, served together, and where our relationship grew through a shared love for Christ and His Church. It was in that context of mission that we discerned our vocation to marriage. After we were married, she generously embraced the vocation of motherhood, choosing to remain at home to care for and homeschool our children. She briefly served as a youth minister in our parish, but together we discerned that her primary calling was to be a homemaker, forming our children in faith and love. From that foundation, we continue to serve side by side in parish life and in our missionary work throughout the Caribbean, believing that our family itself is part of the mission.

As a husband and father, I believe deeply that the family is the Domestic Church, where faith is first witnessed and lived. This website is a reflection of that calling, a place to share faith, formation, and missionary life, always pointing back to Christ, the Divine Logos.
